Description

So finally here it is! My finished character!
More info about this character's personality will slowly be added in time!

The design in progress, why this character turned out this way:
From the first made sketches [Character design process] to this finished creature!
As shown in the previous Character design process, the colors were mostly white and brown, wild color.
Now why I decided to go back/white?
Because panda's! This character was supposed to bring out my name in the first place, to give my name a picture/creature. And nothing suits better then black/white like the panda's right? But why didn't I just make a panda?
I'm in love with corgi's, cats and much more, not just panda's only! :3 I wanted to show my personality with this character, and so the things I like a lot are mixed together into one big fluff. At first it still had wings. The reason why I wanted wings was because I love drawing the night sky and clouds! And if my character could fly, I can draw it there in my comfort zone. But now here is where I went wrong! I shouldn't just only stay in my own comfort zone at all, also the wings seemed to be too much and overrated. Not only is this character presenting me, but it's also a challenge towards me. After all, drawing black and white creatures aint that easy also. xD
Why this sketchy style?
I wanted to draw something different for once, as I saw in some old poll that my sketches were appreciated a lot also. I'm planning on making short comics with this character in this style also!

(Smile)"/> But you have asked for a critique to get some more meaningful comment. And while these eyes soften any critic's heart, I will be honest.

As for the vision, I think it is pretty great, you have managed to make us understand that this character is something really special for you: showing us the character in detial, drawing of his eyes and paws, showing him in various postions, adding text and even inserting them all in an imaginary book - all these creat a feeling of something fundamental.

However, the weak point, in my opinion, is originality. When I saw the character first, I thought about another your wonderful picture right away (fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/i/201…). And sad truth is that Flareon is still more remarkable. If Nameless and Flareon become friends, Nameless will always be overshadowed by his bright friend. But I am sure that as an artist you have some ace in the hole, you may add an unusual accessory to him, a fancy ribbon or something else you consider right for him. His cuteness should be highlighted by an original artistic move.

I like how he is painted, there is something incredibly pleasant in sketchy style on such type of "paper". And I am mesmerized by the eye drawing, it is deep as a sea, profound color with thick white fur around.

So, I love your works, and this one too, but since this one is something really siginificant and not "just" painting, I think to reach the fullest impact you need to add something else in the mix. I am looking forward to the comics, lovely Nezu! ^^
